Power Supply and Distribution of Medical Equipment

Medical Power Supply

The matching power distributionunit used for the medical CT /MR/DSA/DR/DXR/Nuclear medicine stands out fromvaries of PDU because of its reliable operating output protection function.

PDU

The challengesmedical industry are facing.

Relevant regulations of medical powersystem at home and abroad: Many countries and international standard had madespecial regulations for the electric appliance using in medical fields, especiallythose vital places such as the operation room, ICU and CCU. The relevantregulations are as follow: Germany DIN VDE 0107, USA NFPA 99-1993, IEC (InternationalElectrotechnical Commission) 6034-7-710 and etc. The purpose is to ensure asafe and reliable power supply for the medical electric appliance within theplace to ensure the patience’s safety.

Medicaldistribution system solution

As a leader of medical distributionsystem solution industry, from single magnetic element to integrated PDU powersupply, solving the power-supply distribution for the critical parts of medicalequipment reliable and efficient, providing support of intelligence fromR&D to product upgrade and product launch in medical equipment field forclients on a global scale.

Characteristics ofmedical distribution system solution

Thematching power distribution unit used for the medical CT /MR/DSA/DR/DXR/Nuclearmedicine.

Characteristics:

PDUcomponent products meet the IEC/UL60601 standard, electronic components meetthe UL and the CE standards as well as RoHS.

Japanesetransformers, fully consider the details from temperature rise to adjustmentrate, noise and many others to ensure the reliable and efficient of the powersupply.

Multinationalvoltage compatibility, input voltage range: 200/208/380/400/415/440/480VAC.

Providingoutput power with guaranteed security, output voltage is stable while everysingle output is equipped with a protection unit to protect a better outputload each.

Themain circuit of power supply have been through the filtering processes.

Protection functions such asentrance control system, electric leakage and surge can be equipped with.

System Overview

Withthe development of age and the progress in science and technology, medicaltechnology and people’s living standards increasing constantly, the new medicalelectrical equipment in hospitals also continuously increasing, the requirementof hospital power distribution system design is also higher and higher. Hencethe design for large scale complex hospitals’ power distribution system isparticularly important.

Load classification

IECclassification standard: according to restore power supply time

First-classload: restore power supply time less than 0.5s

Second-classload: restore power supply time less than 15s

Third-classload: restore power supply time more than 15s.

Domesticclassification standard:

according to power distribution reliability and thelevel of damage or influence if interruption of sufficient power supply.

First-classload: ER, ICU, operation room, delivery room, NICU, CCU, therapeutic department, pathology department, center supplies, clinical lab and etc.

Theparticularly important load of first-class load: I and II level operation room,NICU, ICU, CCU, ER

Second-classload: common AC power, passenger lift power, escalator power, electronmicroscope, senior ward, lighting electricity and etc.

Third-classload: any other electric equipment except first-class and second-class load.
